I don't get it. If nobody with institutional power is willing and capable of standing in the way of flagrantly unlawful & openly authoritarian political action, then what's the point? Why have any of this at all if we don't have a say and ultimately it's all at the whim of one guy?
What's more, the solutions we need in the near-term, tomorrow, simply can't be addressed at the ballot box. Yet all of our modern understanding of political power, all of the energy of democratic action, has been entirely co-opted by electoralism. We're gonna need some other tools in our toolbox!
