Because, unlike Bernie, they're afraid of losing their shareholders, that's why they try distancing themselves from him and actual left ideologies like socialism (the Democratic party is not left wing). In short, they're greedy cowards.

Probably because they dont think it will do much. They probably think bernie is just preaching to the choir of some bernie fans in the region. Which is nice.. but is it moving needles?
