Understanding that this is 20-20 hindsight, there was no grand theme unifying it - I would have tried to focus on the caretaking subsidies and new business seed money and argued how it would boost the economy from the middle vs. Trump's 1%er giveaways. Biden's inflation made it impossible for the
campaign to push what I think would be very popular: a targeted tax on the superwealthy to lower Medicare age to 62 and make part of the argument it will let more people retire early and open jobs (or blunt AI disruption).
Sure, but there's no shortage of popular policies, with good long-term results. The information environment is continuing to degrade, while many institutions are trying to wait out fasciam. Courage and truth are in short supply.
