I do not see how it's possible, even with this court, to find that there has been "inefficiency, neglect of duty or malfeasance in office," the for cause standard. Anyway, as much as the majority worships presidential power, they worship corporate and financial power even more.
That’s what frequently occurs on the shadow docket of the Roberts Court, though: making decisions without findings. I don’t understand law well enough to know whether this case can be hammered into that shape, but nothing I’ve seen from the real lawyers makes me comfortable asserting it can’t.😩
