Two UK social media chefs, Phoenix Ross and Oli Paterson, made the world’s largest scotch egg, weighing a massive 7.81 kg, heavier than a bowling ball. They used an ostrich egg wrapped in sausage meat, coated in breadcrumbs, and deep-fried it.

Their first attempt failed, but the second was a success, meeting all official rules, including having an intact yolk. After cutting it open with a sword and taking big bites, they turned the rest into burritos. Their record-breaking egg measured 79.5 cm around, with thick layers of meat.
