I guess it says something that a Tesla caught fire and blew up and most assumed it was a battery issue.
I guess it says something that a Tesla caught fire and blew up and most assumed it was a battery issue.
Poor man. What made him do that?
probably felt that life wasnt going to be worth living under the musk/trump regime and wanted to send a message to that effect to the world.
Just because the bed was loaded with fireworks doesn’t mean it wasn’t a battery issue.😐
Indeed!
And they were still saying such when it was known a body was inside with a bullet wound.
DEBATING IF WE SHOULD TELL THEM NOT TO PUT GAS IN THEIR TESLA.
Well, Tesla is the Note 7 of electric vehicles.
The Sheriff in Las Vegas was super excited that the doors locked after the explosion and Elon could get them unlocked.
My MAGA relative says terrorism. Because it couldn't possibly just be an accident.
George, I'm more screaming about the fact Musk could provide photos from the charging stations. Because that means he can, and might, track other law abiding Tesla users
Can and will, you mean.
I dunno I'm kinda hoping the special K makes him forget about it. So I'm sticking with "Might"
You're a very optimistic person.
I rented a Tesla over the holidays for travel (it was the cheapest option). I was told to download the Tesla app for ease of use. I said ahhh hell no. Then proceeded to take me an hour to figure out how to start vehicle & 2 days to lock it. The key card has to go into a certain place for each action
Recent history makes that a fair assumption.
Yes it means most people are horribly uneducated on the subject of EVs.
Inherent issues with electronics, locked the man in and trapped him from escaping.
Unlikely. He shot himself in the head before the truck exploded. apnews.com/article/trum...
I watched a reporter make sure to mention the Cyber truck was so well engineered that it limited the damage of the explosion. WTF
I’m old enough to remember the pinto craze, small percentage of pintos lit up compared to the fire starters teslas are
My first thought on seeing the video: it's wrong. That's a gasoline blast, all oranges and yellows with some weird flashes. That's not the way one of these blows, and that's not what a car boom looks like. Find out he's active duty special forces, and I know he's got to know how, so what gives?
The cut the tape they showed at the presser. Let's see from the moment it pulls into the valet area. Earlier tapes showed smoke coming out of the wheel wells before it exploded.
I'm still waiting for Trump and his clowns to blame President Biden on this.
Wouldn't be surprising.
It says something about misinformation in the media, certainly.
Why is no one talking about this act as a political statement vs a terrorist act? Surely a Tesla blowing up in front of a Trump hotel was not an accidental choice. Was he an avid MAGA upset about Musk blowing up the MAGA party? Or a Dem saying this is the end of democracy?
It's been widely reported that the guy was a big Trump supporter. I don't know if they've figured out a motive.
Not the maggot crowd. I’m a nurse and yesterday, multiple patients had Fox News on. They were selling it as a terrorist attack, connected with the New Orleans incident. Every maggot watching it was eating it up. I actually got into a discussion with one and let her know how I felt.
youtu.be/4gfpVZfkKc4&...
😂🇨🇦🤣
It auto-locked so if your Tesla catches fire, you are trapped inside. That is something to contemplate.
It probably locks because spontaneously loosing doors while driving generates bad publicity 🤔
Not true. There's a manual override release inside.
That is comforting. I would get to hunt for the override while being roasted.
While there's no way in hell that I'll ever get a cybertruck, a look at the manual gives you what you need: www.tesla.com/ownersmanual...
So months later, in the middle of a serious emergency, you remember what was in the manual. Well, good luck with that. You might.
Especially if it happens to be hidden under a mat. 🤔
Well, I also can't imagine a situation I'd want to put explosives into a vehicle, lock myself inside and then blow it up, expecting to then fumble for some manual override to get out.
You could have fooled us though, the way you've been batting so hard for it on this thread. Do you like, have shares in the company?
No, I do not. I do own EVs and I'm quite sick of the stupid shit being said about them. There are many companies that over time I have bought their products (for various reasons) but it's not because of the CEO. And to be extra clear, Musk is a truly terrible person and deserves all the shit he gets
Fair enough. The OP said Tesla though, so I don't think they were talking about EVs in general. I think EVs have come to stay and they are going to keep improving. The question is, will the Fossil Fuel lobbyists and politicians play fair?
I totally agree that this is not an issue with EVs but with the design of that vehicle in particular. Full disclosure, my family owns hybrids and my SIL plans to buy an EV within the next few months.
It feels like they designed it to impress 6 year old boys that are going through a toy truck phase. It doesn't look practical, it doesn't look good, it doesn't do well off road, the supposed safety features are potential death traps and a myriad of other issues.
No, they will not. Check how much various governments subsidise the fossil fuel industry. Do you think they want to stop feeding at that trough? EVs scare them because many owners can generate their own "fuel" and don't need to keep paying exorbitant prices for it. Think of the profits.
It was a rhetorical question but yea, it's no secret. They've fought several wars over it and they will do so again, just to protect their interests and those profits, so the odds are stacked against EVs for now and the foreseeable future.
Ha, sorry! It's difficult to tell sometimes if the question is rhetorical.
I agree. Also own an EV That’s not. Tesla. Tired of others being lumped in with Tesla.
And if you’re a passenger who’s never read the manual or hiring the car for a day? The cybertruck reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Homer gets to design his own car and produces a train wreck that bankrupts the company. Except this is Elons baby
I read manuals because I read everything, including cereal boxes, but remember it later, much less in the middle of an emergency? Aye, right. 🙄
Now, that's practical advice.
I haven’t read either manual but for the Model 3, the emergency door handle is right on the front of the door handle. I imagine it’s similar on the Cybertruck. Full disclosure, I own an EV but NOT Tesla.
No, there are no visible escape handles, so I'm afraid you imagine wrong. It is a small button located on the edge of the window. (I had to look this up since I am certainly not buying one)
On the rear door, you even have to remove a rubber mat to get at it.
The best you can say, in my opinion, is that it is a stupid design. Apparently, they want buyers to think that there could never be an emergency.
Well, the feds could create a uniform standard, like the EU does. But sadly, someone will say it’s government overreach, like the USB-C thing or CCS2. *sigh*
What about a modern locked ICE car? Especially those with the driver controlled door locks. Although I agree about the cybertruck, it's not a great vehicle. The Lightning or Rivian are far better choices.
Oh just said - depends on the manufacturer tbh as it does seem to be a grey area. Mine you just pull the handle back further but not sure about ICE cars that have only buttons. Same issue as the tesla I guess.
My wife’s car is 2015 and still has the little pull up snibs. Feels like it needs an EU like “standard”
There has been a lot of comment that the manual door override is not easy to operate if you’re panicking. The rear door release in particular is actually hidden under a rubber mat in the door pocket. Good luck finding that if you didn’t read the manual in advance
Good luck remembering what you read in the manual when your car is on fire.
Yup - it’s crazy this car is allowed me to be sold.
Sure. I guess if I was in a locked ICE vehicle that explodes into fire, I probably wouldn't get the chance to try to unlock and get out of it anyway.
Depends on the maker but if it has a physical handle like mine and it’s locked when power is lost you can essentially pull the handle back beyond the point of resistance and it pops open. I also have an escape hammer.. not sure that would work on the cybertruck armoured windows tho
My son-in-law gave everyone in the family an escape hammer to keep on the sun visor. I admit he was more worried about an accident causing a car to be in the water when I don't think door releases are much help.
What if you are unconscious because you were just hit by another vehicle (like a semi)? How will first responders get you out before you become burnt toast? This sounds like a bad design.
How would they if you were in any locked vehicle? Perhaps smash the glass, the jaws of life, etc?
One did burn in Duluth Ga same day.
No need to spread disinformation. Posts like this only add to the fear mongering and misinformation on EV’s.
Nah, just Teslas
But it’s still a lie even if you hate Leon
A dozen or less Chevy Bolts caught fire most 2017 were recalled, I had to give up my car. ( DID GET MY MONEY BACK) Dozens of teslas burned down, nothing happens
It’s amazing just how stupid you anti Tesla people are. Almost as stupid as the antisemites.
Because it didn’t happen that’s why.
WHAT DIDNT HAPPEN? As of October 24, 2024, there have been 232 confirmed cases of Tesla vehicles catching fire, with 83 of these incidents leading to fatalities.
Tell him what did happen. He's blocked.
I blocked him, too.
❤️ my ⚡
As a DA Civilian w/ deployments to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq, this says something else that an active duty service member died in that vehicle. The LE Officer leading the LV press conference said a weapon was found at the deceased’s feet.
the location made me think there might be something else going on
Maybe because it wasn't the first this week? www.atlantanewsfirst.com/2024/12/31/c...
Indeed. However, much as I detest Enol Skum, most of the stories about EV fires have been debunked as hysterical nonsense.
Proof that climate distraction worked. Opposing solutions has the same outcome as climate denial.
Teslas don't "explode". That's just media nonsense. Battery fires are much more rare (20 times less so) than fossil car fires and it's fossil cars that go with a bang. Battery fires are usually slow burning.
Exactly!
My first thought
I it would have sat there longer it would have eventually caught fire on its own.
A natural assumption given Tesla's safety record...or lack there of...
kmph.com/amp/news/loc... This just happened in my area 😳...don't buy a Tesla!
Geez. 2025 not starting off so hot for Tesla. Pardon the pun. They also reported some down business for the quarter as well.
I know I'm guilty of thinking that
Probably customer's feedback , Mr Spock would have said ' very logical' George Lol
Sounds more like a political statement!
"Oh it's a Tesla? Was just a matter of time..."
Sounds about right.
The irony of it:)
Nope just a high price cheaply made car!
I assumed it wasn’t a battery issue because of where it was located! Couldn’t have been more obvious to me 😒
I saw a Tesla get in an accident, tear in half and catch fire. Who in their right mind would want that ugly ass death trap!
I’ve seen lots of car fires, none electric
😯
I have to point out that a bomb went off in a Cybertruck. And the battery DIDN’T catch fire.
Meanwhile the idiot’s stock soars
As much as I detest dipshit Musk, and hate his soulless automotive appliances, Teslas catch fire far less often than ICE vehicles. It's okay to not like the truth. But we must accept it.
Is this your opinion or do you have any data to back this claim up?
A recent study by US insurer, AutoinsuranceEZ found that hybrid cars had the worst fire record, while EVs were the least likely type of car to catch fire. Hybrid cars had 3474.5 fires per 100,000 sale; petrol cars had 1,529.9 fires per 100,000 sales and EVs had just 25.1 fires per 100,000.
Did Elon pay for the study?
fireisolator.com/hybrid-fires...
that was my first thought…🤔
The stupid thing couldn't even explode the right way🤣🤣🤣🤣 but thankfully nobody else got hurt but the guy doing it but the first part was just a joke people I am autistic and have no filter
🤣 that’s literally what I thought. Those electrical fires are supposed to be hard to put out, I just assumed that’s what happened. F ing funny tho it was a trumper who did it!
I mean, I'm aware that EVs in general are a lot less likely than ICE vehicles to catch fire, and I still pretty much assumed this was just cybertruck being cybertruck.
If not for the loss of life I would have completely welcomed the “Welcome to 2025” meme that was generated from the fire.
The driver shot himself in the head before the explosion
I'll admit, I had posted and said something light hearted about it, but took it down once it was discovered about the loss of life, another lesson for me to wait until more info comes out
The only person who died was the guy who blew it up in the first place. I'll save my sympathy for innocent victims, not suicide bombers.
I’m certainly not “pro-bomber”, but I would rather have had the bomber survive so we could figure out motive instead of playing the after-the-fact-what-was-he-thinking game playing out now.
You do you 👍🏼
The poor guy suicided.
I’d rather he survived so we could understand his motivation, even to help us from preventing similar attacks (although I’m not heartbroken about the potential loss of additional cyber trucks).
*help us prevent similar attacks, not ‘prevent from similar attacks’
Yes. And since he is a vet... Many questions and much sorrow for all the vets with similar disabilities
This is sad but true.. Teslas are getting terrible reputations
This is was my immediate thought.
The guy's batteries gave out. 😒
Kinda symbolic of what Musk will do to America Get ready for a tire 🔥
A burning Tesla in Front of a Trump Hotel. The only way that gets better is if there were a CPAC convention sign in the foreground.
Odds certainly suggest it could have been a malfunction.
🤣
A current member of the special forces rented a Cyber Truck, filled the back with cans of gas and fireworks. Then drove to a Trump hotel. Then, somehow it lights on fire and explodes. Does any of that make sense?
Thank you. No it doesn’t.
And the thing is, it could still be a battery issue...
Well the guy probably was already getting radiation poisoning it puts out more radiation in it beta radiation as soon as you get in that stupid car and when you're charging them they have tons look around the doors tons of radiation
True. It’s the first thing I thought. No big batteries for me. He had to charge that thing to go a few states. No way I’d have such a slow blocky thing. I’d get a Porsche to represent my penis instead of a Tesla.
Was my first thought
EMTE - everything Musk touches explodes
I read it and thought to myself why is this news ? It’s just another day (thanks Paul)
I did think that! 😆 lol
You're not alone!
I never hear about Nissan Leafs burning up
I also never hear about cars that are half and half like my Toyota Camry catch it on fire and Wesley like crash into something and catch on fire but the batteries don't just explode and my car is not admitting radiation everywhere beta radiation unlike a Tesla
Seeing how Musk is promoting AI (and bafflingly, at the same time railing against it) I would suggest that the cybertruck became self aware and decided to commit seppuku, rather than associate itself with Tesla
I think he was MAGA and FAFO . So he killed himself to make a statement .
Shrug. Still can be. Maybe the driver shot himself after the CT locked him in when the fire started.
they shouldn’t have put elmo in charge of the ovens
Li-Ion batteries must be produced 100% to specs, as even minor faults can lead to catastrophic failures. But it's kinda striking that Teslas are more prone to battery failures than other EV, and not only since yesterday.
I have a Toyota that is a part EV part gas powered I like my car and I would like an Eevee but I don't want to Tesla for a trillion dollars I wouldn't take it I prefer to not catch on fire or explode thank you and I don't like radiation poisoning either🤣🤣
I'm no friend of EV and Hybrids, and a good deal of my rejection stems from the experiences I had made with the Li-Ion cells in everyday devices and other issues. They are working on allegedly less dangerous cell technologies which are supposed to be even be more efficient...
Less dangerous is always better but you know Tesla's set off more radiation than anything I've seen so many on YouTube have a geiger counter and it puts out so much radiation around the door where your child usually puts their head against the door frame and they're getting beta radiation to brain
...but they are way more expensive to make (as of now), can't be made in numbers sufficient for automotive mass production and only a tech deity knows what's going to happen if they fail.
I'm not as fond of the total just in case you need gasoline what if you're out on a road and you get lost and your way out in the middle of nowhere and you have no way to charge it your Sol to wear gasoline a whole another story that's why I like the combo
Or having musk control of my vehicle after I buy it. But he does
We’re living a shakespearean play a minute.
Many of the ICE fires are from idiots smoking while attempting repairs or jump starts. Teslas don't seem to require an idiot other than the CEO.
Technically the brain is a human battery. The man’s brain exploded and his creative choice using a Deplorean Cybertruck caused us all to think about the possibility of a failed truck battery. He Killed two birds with one brain-stone😉
How did he blow his brains out before the truck blew up and how in the hell did they figure that out so fast, but can’t find Jimmy Hoffa🤔🙈?
The car exploded, then caught fire. It had nothing to do with the batteries. Come on people, get over your stupid EV phobia.
We're not stupid enough to give Musk our money, there are plenty of other EVs or there.
Say it isn't so
Shouldn't that be Laura Loomer? She's the one trump dumped for the Muskrat.
Or well staged.
I left Twitter because of wild speculation being presented as fact. We need to be better than this, otherwise we'll just become a left wing Twitter
Haven’t we (the left) been better than this? Does the “better than” tactic even work? It doesn’t look like it. The right has thrived on wild speculation for years and that empire still has not fallen. In fact, it looks stronger today to me than ever before.
I don’t understand why we don’t have solar cars?!!!
Can we do one with Leon in it?
I see that assumption was the only thing the owner of Tesla was concerned about.
Ha ha. Well, wasn't it? OK. First time that it wasn't!
TWO Teslas :-)
honestly, that was my first thought... but now I find myself waiting for leon to blow up at trump or vice versa, in a flame war on Xitter
EVs are much less less likely than either ICE or hybrids to catch fire. I wish people would choose facts. alliedworldinsurance.com/risk-managem....
Same. The dunking on Teslas and EVs because of the Elon connection is convenient for those who dislike him but unfortunately not based in fact much of the time.
Elon sucks but I dunk on Teslas because their build quality is shit. I like other EVs. Also don't forget that Tesla employees got caught spying on people inside their own homes through Tesla cameras.
It says 4th rate leftist boomers are still boomers at heart.
What does it say George? That people make assumptions before they know any facts?
Their assumptions were based on Tesla history. But as it turns out it was the second assumption most people made: it was a trump supporter.
And when the truth comes out, we find out it was because of a worthless piece of shit, brainwashed, Muslim convert who pledged allegiance to ISIS.
I heard it wasn’t a Tesla. It was the enterprise.
Also interesting that it contained the damage. Am a Tesla owner of 8 years. Has become an embarrassment but it’s paid for and it helps the environment.
Says something about Elmo and his companies, right?
And Musk is blaming the media for everyone having that assumption and not himself for making and selling an ugly vehicle that shouldn’t be on the road.
Yes. It confirms that a ton of people are falling for the misinformation campaigns aimed at Teslas and EVs, in general.
The thing is, that truck cost $$$$$ and then to use it to blow stuff up? WOW.
I thought it was raccoons, tbh, but relieved that it wasn't sharks! We all know how attracted sharks are to anything battery powered in close proximity to anything bearing the Trump name!
It says something about the new Administration that a soldier felt so hopeless about the future that he committed suicide in front of Trump's hotel inside Elon Musk's car. He didn't harm anyone else that day except for the grief his family feels. If others are feeling desperate, reach out for help.
7 people were injured - no idea how badly but its not true that he didnt harm anyone else and if someone had walked past as it exploded they would have been killed. Besides that your post is on point.
Reported 7 minor injuries. And I meant comment as deliberately harming others. He did not drive over others, he chose to shoot himself.
yes true and he could have driven it through those doors into the building surely he wrote some sort of explanation somewhere - seems pointless without that
Yes. Suicide is mistakenly thinking one has painted oneself into a corner without realising that it's okay to chose to walk out over it.
That's what I wondered. Why did he snap?
Have you read most of the comments on BlueSky since Trump won the election? Some are hopeful but most are really upset about the potential for chaos and hardships. So glad we have gun control in Canada so if we snap, we have time to think before we pull a trigger.
It’s a POS car, just like the POS musk.
more like a dumpster fire.
Well what the fuck do you think it was...
Was it a Tesla just being a Tesla or was it terrorism?
A fly must've sneezed on it.
Understandable. It resembles a dumpster on wheels, has the build quality of a Lada, and oozes a foul Musky aroma that's impossible to get out. It's a mystery why anyone WOULDN'T want to set one on fire.
💯🤣🤣🤣🤣
George I watched a segment on Wendy Maruyami, on PBS today. What a beautiful soul, furniture maker & designer. Her hanging Interred Japanese people is breath-taking.
First thing that came to mind.
An exploding car seems to be a potential outcome for any Tesla owner.
EVs have a much lower fire rate than gas cars.
I am so happy to know God was looking out for my late mother. The last years of her life, she was antsy to buy a Tesla (this was a few years ago.) Now that we know all that we know...I'm so glad stuff kept coming up to have her put off doing so.
What does it say?
Is Elon’s Tesla made in America. Or is it smoke and mirrors?
A battery with a terrorist at the wheel. Happens all the time.
I would return mine if I was stupidly enough to think they were good for the environment.
I know i assumed it was a battery issue. Figured Cybertruck + campfuel + fireworks = 🔥🔥
He only lit the fireworks because he was doing himself in before it blew up and he wanted to make sure that it blew up
Yes, I know. But I was saying that originally, I assumed it was a battery issue exacerbated by the presence of camp fuel and fireworks
You should know. Liberals buy those things.
His family said he was MAGA, but his choice of a cyber truck & targeting a Trump hotel scream otherwise…
Not at all if you are at all aware of the reich wing drama recently regarding immigration visas
It says you’re idiots.
EVs are less likely to catch fire than gas cars or hybrids. www.fairfaxcounty.gov/environment-...
Unless its a tesla
😂💯
yep, it says that even liberals are sheep
A lot of them say he was a Republican
not the point ;-)
www.tesla-fire.com
Would be no surprise! Teslas should go away like the Pinto did that killed 900 people.
Musk included based on his response
The raw materials used in making lithium batteries are highly unstable. They will over heat like your laptops, phones, and tablets. Tesla’s catch fire more because they use more individual cells in the battery packs, causing a chain reaction fire.
You're not wrong. I know it was the first thought *I* had about it.
That was down to the way it was framed by the media. Ordinarily, headlines would not mention the model of car. It would have been: ‘Car explodes outside Trump hotel’. But in this case, headlines focused on the detail that it was a Cybertruck, leading us to think ah, battery fault: EV bad!
I truly believed it was the battery because Tesla car batteries do catch on fire and are notoriously hard to put out.
even after 20 years they were still mentioning the truck company the Oklahoma truck bomb came from. and the framing wasnt ' EV bad ' it was ' cybertruck bad '. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015...
It’s almost like the company of said car is known for exploding cars and the vehicle itself is under a battery recall… Nobody would have guessed it was another mentally ill magat doing terrorism instead of using common sense & context clues
was he a magat? I would thought more likely someone protesting against the musk/trump regime
Active duty special forces, described as Trump lover by family. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...
a disillusioned cult member then - there will be many more crack like he did - hopefully not as violently.
It's more likely he was protesting about the recent immigration drama between Maga and the oligarchs
Surely he did some sort of video or blog somewhere to show us what his point was ? Seems a complete waste of his life if every side can now claim he did it for however they want to frame it.
Sadly all the news stories are quickly just becoming about them doing increasingly more unhinged things
www.atlantanewsfirst.com/2024/12/31/c...
Elon was hot mad at that. He childish side took over.
We adore our 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5.
There used to be a joke bandied around when I did a consulting gig for the automotive industry (JD Powers included). Tesla is a car built around a battery. The car companies know HOW to build a car. What powers it changes but... No wonder Elon is mad
My son works for a dealership here on the west coast, they had a Tesla battery burn, it took the whole entire wear house out! My son told me you can't put them out like a regular fire!! In fact you can't put them out period!!
You can put out a burning battery pack...by submerging the whole car in a tank and leave it there for 48h. That's why most firefighter units are just letting the EV burning down and contain the fire.
It’s a trend… www.tesla-fire.com/index-amp
That's just sad. 😁
Tesla batteries = the new Occam’s Razors?
I have a Tesla battery in my garage right now, waiting for the install of our solar panels next week. We really didn’t have a choice. Well, it was either that or no panels. Anyway, I hope it’s not as volatile as the car batteries!
If any EV caught fire and blew up, most would assume it was a battery.
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Regulates financial issues only.
The Bureau of Consumer Protection (FTC) does take complaints about products and services; that would include Tesla.
Musk wants to eliminate CFPB.
FTC works with the CFPB but they aren’t the same. They have an agreement.
To be clear, the CFPB works under the FTC. The more you know…
I believe CFPB is an independent agency in the Treadury Dept. I was in another agency of Treasury when CFPB was formed. Per Wikipedia, it remains independent.
www.reuters.com/business/aut...
Maga Elon fan boys on FB are saying it only proves the cybertruck is indestructible.....he used fckn fireworks!!!...
I'm guilty. I assumed it was the battery.
Honestly, with the way most see EV's.... if most saw 'caught fire and blew up' attached to an electric vehicle, any EV, most would assume it was a battery issue.
Exactly
Most did, but my hesitation was in considering the odds it would happen to explode outside a Trump hotel.
Yes, when I first saw the photo I thought they were just trolling poor Elon.
I still think it was just the Tesla blowing up $ to cover bad optics they're trying to paint it as a terrorist attempt. The guy was active military special ops (which means security clearance with mental health screening) ordinance expert so he would have known how to make the car go boom for real.
And, he requested paid time off, not something someone suicidal would do. Also was a big Musk and Trump fan with selfies in the Musk style black MAGA gear, so driving a cybertruck to a Trump hotel in Vegas while on vacation would have been on brand for him.
I assumed Cybertrucks don’t like Elon any more than we do.
TSA does not appreciate it if you say you have a TESLA somewhere in the airport.
It wasn’t?
I thought it had to do with the recall. That turned out not to be the case but they are still recalled.
And of course I have yet to see any news media. Try to put two and two together. Trump/musk love affair equal someone blowing up a Tesla in front of a Trump hotel? Maybe I’ll create my own conspiracy theory!
Even quick-fingers, Eric Trump.
Paying attention to details would have allowed most to see that the explosion took place outside of Trumps building which would indicate a message was being sent.
I thought that was a coincidence... Outside the building doesn't really give the same away. Drive through the building and it would have been obvious terror.
Indeed, and if that’s the case, what would a hardcore maga active duty soldier who had just voted for DT be trying to say?
I initially just thought that someone who drove a Tesla was visiting Trump's building, which would be one of the least surprising events in history.
Yeah I would have maybe thought the same initially if it weren't for the New Orleans tragedy.
It's just automatic that is everyone's first and only thought. All bad for president-elect musk isn't it..
It speaks volumes!
Hahahahaha, well 9 times out of ten
💯💯
Mob hit was my guess. I watch way too many movies.
Yes it says there is a lot of misinformation out there.
Musk ask him
Because I wait to hear the whole story, my assumption based, on the video, was that some jackass loaded up his rental with fireworks he can’t buy wherever he’s from (common in the southwest) & didn’t see the thing about poorly grounded cyber trucks shocking their owners when they touch the panels. 😂
Battery is the most likely thing to blow, but this was just a crazy guy who wanted to hurt people as he went out.
Except he was a trump fanatic
Higher chance of someone being unstable.
True
Trump fanatics are always unstable
Firework mortars and shot himself a gasoline.
Seem to be quite a number of people concerned about safety issues related to the cybertruck vehicle. In addition to that, I think it looks beyond ugly
The other month I saw one that was painted hot pink. Now that was eye-catching!
I know one who sent his to Atlanta to get it painted white. It looks better than it did, but it’s his first time without a Ford pick up truck.😆
It has seven recalls since it made it to the market in October 2023. Tesla just recalled 700,000 vehicles in the US. I wonder if their track record is that bad in China? That’s where their biggest plant is.
According to this report, it seems not to be selling well at all
I agree with ugly. If you can't transport trees and potting soil, it is useless as a truck. There is no government agency that can fix that. Stop feeding monster egos.
You could say, guilty as charged.
Some modern day (and sad) assumptions: Celebrity trending = they died School, mall, smaller town/city = shooting
Would definitely be on brand. Those things are the literal definition of a dumpster fire. 🗑️
I figured it was a shite vehicle being shite, not a battery thing but a tesla thing. I'm sure if he could, Tesla would be spinning in his grave at what w⚓ has done to his name
I didn't assume that. Electric cars never explode and almost never burn. Someone driving an armored vehicle (cybertruck) loaded with explosives into Trump property seemed much more plausible to me. Only surprised that it only happened at ONE of Trumps properties. I won't be booking a room...
It was just wishful thinking. The man gave his life to create a poetic photo-op meme moment.
