Sent Costco a postcard of thanks for their stand. No future purchases will be made at Target, Lowe’s, Harley Davidson, Jack Daniel's, or Best Buy. Can’t reject Tractor Supply or John Deere having never been a customer. But my hard earned money won’t go to retailers that reject DEI in the workplace.

I honestly wish there was more of them this is good but their whole business model is really good too.

Joined because my wife is addicted to Itoen tea and they have free shipping (paid for my membership in 2 months). Stayed because they are one of the few businesses that cares about their employees and provides good customer service because it is a good idea, not because they need to.

Another reason to love Costco!

Any business that supports people from all walks of life is one that has my support.

This is not humanitarian from Costco, it’s pure buisness. Costco integrated multicultural employees into their hires for decades, it was inexpensive pay and most diverse hires are reliable people. Costco could not function without them. Same with Hotel companies.

If it was pure business, Costco would down-scale the pay and benefits afforded its employees. I'm not saying there is no business interest in what they did... but I am saying Costco also has an interest in a better community.

My husband, youngest child and housemate all work for tge subcontractors in Costco. It is a good place to work but like most retail they gave to deal with Karen's. Costco stands up to them and protects their employees

I’ve had to explain this to a few of my male friends. I’ve asked if it’s ever occurred to them that there are currently white men w jobs, who weren’t the best candidate for that job. So don’t look at it as women and minorities taking their jobs. Those jobs shouldn’t have been theirs to begin with.

The people who work for Costco.com are AMAZING. I got a text saying my order was in transit, and freaked. I called, and was warmly reassured that it was on the way to the warehouse, not my house 😁

They run a fantastic business. When the CEO is fighting to keep a hotdog combo at a certain price point, you know that he actually cares about his customers and employees

Well, not quite. The hot dog combo and the rotisserie chicken are loss leaders. They get people in the door and spending money. Costco's still one of the more ethical large companies out there IMO.

Also…it warms the cockles of my heart to imagine Costco posting profitable quarters, while Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc see their profits drop.

I was always a fan of Costco but this was the tipping point for me between them and Sam's club.

At least when Amazon tanks there will be job opportunities for Amazon employees at Costco (that was one thing I worried about-employees losing jobs)

We let our membership lapse in November because we just weren't going as often, and I just decided to make it my monthly "first pass/ stock up" again, voting with our dollars matters!
