The biggest problem with the tax cuts is that in 2017 they added about 2 trillion to the deficit, and this time it's more like 4.5 trillion. And Republicans want to do it by raising taxed on anyone under the top 1%, and cutting health care & food services. Let them try WITHOUT DEMOCRATS HELPING.

Dems can save it...but they shouldn't. It will be very painful and can be avoided...but this is an intervention. Dem congress to Rep congress, "You have a trump addiction and YOU are hurting America. This is a perfect analogy. Just as an addict is part of a dysfunctional family system, so is the GOP. Is the Democratic Party perfect? Not by a long shot, but they protect and defend the Constitution. They uphold the rule of law. The GOP needs to go through the pain of withdrawal, get healthy.

They need a 60 vote majority to overcome the filibuster outside of reconciliation (tax and spending) or judge confirmations. We need to vote in enough of them to reach that mark, plus a couple extra to overcome any conservative Democrats.
