Their loss.
Their loss.
I only have about 10 living actors at the top of my list. His skill and timing is stunning. He is definitely one of the top ten.
Def their loss!!
The iconic line of all children’s movies was delivered by Nathan Lane IMO ‘lie down before you hurt yourself’ #newjerseyrules
I just don't understand the film & tv industry at all. Everyone is playing a role. Who they are means nothing. It's just their acting ability that counts.
Too gay for space jam is WILD lol
Love Nathan Lane❤️
I'm loving Mid- Century Modern 💙🩵💙🩵
Thats okay WE all saw The Bird Cage all of them deserved an Oscar
Let's keep refusing to go back to those bad, old days! Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are things to be celebrated. I will always say it in FULL, and call out anyone disparaging the concepts! Many of my loved ones are those left out, and we all lose.
Maybe Joe Pytka just doesn't really understand what actors /do/ for a living. Strange...
Yes it is, I adore Nathan Lane!
Mr. Lane is in a class by himself.
I'd say, fuck Joe Pytka...but he might like it too much.
Well he was in the Birdcage - a better movie - that same year So the joke was on them
Mid-Century Modern is HILARIOUS!! Thoroughly enjoying the series! I seriously suspect there is a lot of ad-libing going on!!
That’s hilarious- that movie is marginal at best and he’s Nathan Frickin Lane. They should have begged him to brighten up that tripe.
I’ve never heard of anyone being too straight.
The Bird Cage is one of the funniest movies in the history of ever. So well done.
Nathan Lane is great. Shame on the producers for passing on him due to his sexuality. On another note, Wayne Knight did a fine job in the role himself. It's not fair to him that it's overshadowed by the homophobic actions of 30 years ago.
Who would reject a Nathan Lane performance?...
He should have consulted his production team. Then maybe he would have kept it gay. youtu.be/E-c9Z0L2YLI?...
The 90s were still a pretty awful time, that's a given...
If you watch "Penny Dreadful, City of Angels" you can clearly see Lane is brilliant at what he does. I recommend that show anyways, it's great. Yes George T. there is a Star Trek person in there.
Whatever the reason, I stand with Nathan.
Because he was an idiot
Nathan Lane is an acting genius. I saw him as Roy Cohn in Angels in America on Broadway. GENIUS. Too gay. You know what's too gay? NOTHING
Clearly Nathan Hale is exactly the right amount of "too gay".
My experience of homophobic people is coloured by my work investigating crime etc. I found that often those who shout loudest were (are) paranoid about their own leanings and fear being drawn to the dark side. Led to one 'closet' butch man killing his gay friend. 1
I even met people who thought they could catch 'it' from toilet seats & sharing chairs! I was brought up amongst/around thespians, artists & musicians from a very early age. I was never 'hit on' & truer friends would be harder to find. Narrow minded bigots are everywhere 2
Hes a great actor, a great voice over actor!
“Too gay?” It’s a Bugs Bunny movie. You know… THIS Bugs Bunny:
Their loss and ours. Nathan is brilliant.
Space Jam would have been a million times better with Nathan Lane in the movie. Fucking homophobes robbing people of such good entertainment
Everyone watch The Birdcage. For the first time or rewatch it if you haven’t seen it in 20 years. It is just wonderful. The whole cast is brilliant.
It's one of my "comfort" movies. I've yet to get tired of it.
We watch it at least annually, always gives us a million laughs. Guess that guy just doesn't know talent when it's pouring out of someone. I think he needs more gum!😆
🤣🤣🤣
He’s like the greatest. He makes me laugh so much.
watched first episode of Mid-Century Modern (series) Mr. Lane, Nathan Lee Graham, Linda Lavin, and Matt Bomer are a great ensemble
and COCO!
Fucked up!!!
Omg! He is one of the best!!
He’s an amazing actor. He was brilliant in The Producers.
Kevin Spacey plays straight better than Lane, but can Spacey do comedy?
Wayne Knight was great for the role imo. This was at the height of Seinfeld as well.
It wasn't an Alan Smithee production?
