I’m an alum and I’ve never considered donating. Still probably won’t - my donation wouldn’t be felt and I prefer to donate to mission-driven orgs fighting transphobia and racism - but I’m not unhappy they are doing this.

Educated people tend to lean towards progressivism to varying degrees, yet I'm sure whether it factors in or not depends whether they assimilated the knowledge or if they were just passed along the classes like a hot potato.

The Ivy’s tend to be outliers given the intergenerational wealth aspect. Yes the merit based scholars are more progressive but there’s a lot of old money in those halls.

Outside of the US many of us are left with no choice to find non US based alternatives for digital services etc, for security reasons, but where we can we will support US businesses, institutions and non profits under attack by the White House. The outside world can see what you are dealing with.

I just looked up a full list of European internet companies. Your point about security is valid and hopefully we can rectify that. Any ideas from marketing experts or advertising specialists who have knowledge of selling online to other countries, are appreciated.

PBS is great. I fully support them. I won’t give money to Harvard, but I wouldn’t have any anyway because I don’t support torturing animals.
