People make this big deal about Joe Biden not remembering the date of his son's death. I can't speak for him, but I'm a lot younger and my father died of cancer. I don't remember the exact day, but I do think of my father every single day.

Cancer is an awful disease. I'm not saying this is how it works for everyone, but even if it's fast, you witness the decline over more than one day. For me, the death felt like it didn't just happen on that day. The article cites other items, but remembering date of death is not a big deal to me.

Frankly, none of it is a big deal. If Biden ever decides to run for public office again it'll be a big deal but right now he's some random citizen who holds no direct power and surprisingly little political power.

Even if he ran for office again, Biden would still be an vast step up from what we have now. To me, remembering the date-of-death shouldn't be a big deal period.
