Just reminder: 12 years ago today SCOTUS overturned DOMA (U.S. v. Windsor), thus requiring the federal government to recognize same sex marriages. 22 years ago it handed down Lawrence v. Texas, abolishing sodomy laws. Not counting on these decisions surviving the same court that overturned Roe.

I remember that day. I was living in Santa Cruz, CA, at that time. We were having brunch at a local Cafe, as bunches of people were showing up, coming from San Francisco. The atmosphere was full of joy & happiness & an abundance of love & hope was in the air. It was a really good day.

Me too. I lived there over 30 years. My son went to college there, UCSC. He & his wife are now retired Air Force Colonel's living I Durango. I recently moved to be close to them & to be near my 3 grandboys. I really miss Cali, though. Born & raised in San Diego.
