Capitalism is not inherently evil. What people do with it can be evil, which is the case with all the "isms." Give the wrong people control, and it becomes a force for evil.

If Capitalism wasn't evil, why is it that only 1% of people in countries like the US is rich, & why over 80 percent of the global population is extremely poor, poor, or barely making ends meets? Your argument equates to saying, "murder isn't wrong, only those who commit murder are actually bad".

Because wealth corrupts, and the problem with capitalism is that unless there are strong governmental controls, it can be easily manipulated to favor the few at the expense of the many. That doesn't make it inherently evil. Murder is always wrong. Capitalism has benefits if regulated properly.

The ONLY solution to avoid this is Socialism. Where the safety net is VERY strong. There's a reason why the US is the ONLY 1st world country that does NOT have Universal Healthcare, & demonizes Socialism & Communism (my country is a Social Democracy btw). China's a decade ahead of the US, tech wise.

I am not arguing against socialism, btw. I agree it is superior to capitalism. I am arguing against broad-brush pronouncement of good and evil when talking about concepts and ideologies that can be manipulated. Talking in absolutist terms got us where we are today.

Communist China is better at global capitalism than the US. That's the headline. They spent decades learning and copying and now are at the point they are able to advance. They're building a thorium molten salt nuclear reactor using US research that was abandoned.
