Shit I live in Pasadena just outside Baltimore everyone, even my husband, thought I was from NewYork/Jersey 😂. I’m like, my parents lived there BF I was born and they taught me English with their accents so yeah, I have a strange accent.

I read 'Mid-Atlantic' accent & I think New York / New Jersey -/+. When you're working, I guess you got to do what they say if they're writing the check. When my oldest daughter went to Hofstra she started talking like Long Island and I told her people go to speech therapists to unlearn that accent.🫡

I think Delaware and Maryland also. I don’t think of NY and NJ. Their accents are really different from ours. And we have a several in Maryland too.

No disrespect intended towards Long Islanders. I went to Niagara and many friends/colleagues at NU were from LI.🥰 It's just that when my Vermont-raised daughter all of a sudden adopted that LI accent, I HAD TO AT LEAST warn her about the implications. 😉🥰

It took me several years to get rid of that Long Island accent! No speech therapist, I'm not a famous person, so it was just listening to other people who I thought sounded better. I replaced some of it with a Boston accent, but that's still an improvement.

I am so torn between looking at this movie wondering if we're finally going to get the Fantastic 4 movie we deserve, and giving it the hairy eyeball half convinced it's going to be like the last mess. If Pedro Pascal is in it, I guess it can't be all bad. At least I can listen to his voice for 3hrs
