I found data that Allred lost by less than 9 percentage points, in a race he was supposed to lose by 20-30 pts. Beto only list by less than 3 percentage pts. So, every data point is subjective, but both came closer in one of the reddest of red states than anyone expected. And Dems will keep trying!
