I watched the first 21 mins of the full video and was surprised I got that far. I couldn't finish it bc I was experiencing real physical reactions to it and decided it wasn't good for my health to continue. What got to me more than anything was the want of imagination, the impoverished thinking.

I am immigrant from Norway who became a naturalized citizen in the 1970's. So yes, an immigrant can be an American. I don't have dual citizenship. I am American and I get Social Security since I worked for over 25 years and earned that.

I look at it much the same. Once naturalized, like you, my grandparents, etc, you're an American. Period. If born here, like me, indigenous people, a native, and also an American. Period. Why do we even entertain the snobbery of who's "more" deserving of being called American vs. "outsiders?"
