Why? Because people who own guns freak at any mention of gun restrictions. Ask anyone to name an amendment and they’ll all answer the 2nd. Homeowners, hunters, don’t need automatic weapons, no uzi’s, no AK47’s, but they have them. The NRA makes sure they keep them.

According to the NYTIMES, we need to give up. Nothing can be done. Of course they don't consider a NATIONAL ban on assault weapons that worked once and COULD work again. You can't prevent every shooting but to say we have to live with one mass shooting every day is a horrific statement.

The last mass shooting in the UK was long enough ago that I can’t remember it. More LEOs are shot dead in the US every two years than have been shot dead in the UK in the last 125 years, and almost all our LEOs are unarmed.
