Apple locks you into its own environment under the guide of "safety". While they are more secure than Android, iOS devices can fall victim to the same malware and DOS attacks.

Due to Apple only allowing App Store installs, other than in the EU, then Malware is pretty rare in iOS. And DDOS attacks are something completely different.

Malware, MiMA and stolen data on apple products has been exponentially rising since the rumor that they were immune was started. At this time, the apple environment is no "safer" than any other. It's all just propaganda and environment preference.

I agree in part. But I still see Apple as the “safer” of the two ecosystems. But again that’s mainly down to user error. Installing random apk’s from sites etc. which will probably happen in the EU to apple now, as they have unlocked side loading.

That's part of the problem in itself, everyone "sees" Apple as the safer option, which has directly led to the rise of malware (and other attack vectors) centric around the Apple ecosystem. They run a better PR campaign over their infosec and security efforts.

Sorry to be that guy, but it currently only runs on Google Pixels because they are the most secure devices on the market that support installing custom operating systems. Any other Android phone would compromise security too much, which goes against the standards of GrapheneOS.

They are working on a partnership with another OEM already though! We may see more GrapheneOS-compatible devices in the future.
