How does he think a carjacking works? The belt makes you harder to surprise by pulling you out of the car. If they're pointing a gun at you, they get the car either way. I'm not sure there's been a carjacking where they just shot someone right off and pulled them out.

Most studies of carjackings, including even from 2nd Amendment proponents, show they occur when the driver is distracted, often out of the car at a store or gas station. Not alertly driving around on the roads.. not securing your seatbelt is foolish, unwarranted, and illegal.
