Trans and non-binary? I don't understand.

‘Trans’ is only not aligning with the gender assigned @ birth. ‘Non-binary’ is not fitting into a strictly male/female gender. If humanity wasn’t divided into male/female stereotypes it would be easier. Like nurturing is “female” = a nurturing male is feminine, rather than simply being human.

Yes things would be simpler without strict gender roles and stereotypes. People would still be transitioning though. Physical dysphoria wouldn’t just disappear.

Physical dysphoria is real. I’m more worried about how society (re: toxic masculinity, religion etc) demands we act fem or masc & people internalize the message until they hate themselves for being human. If no one made it a thing, there’d be no confusion & my trans family member would be alive.

Non-binary falls under the trans umbrella. Transgender means gender different than the one assigned at birth. Non-binary means you have a gender that doesn’t neatly fall under just male or female While all non-binary people are technically transgender not every non-binary person identifies as trans

Good for them - they look like they feel incredible! I admit I'm a bit jealous. Due to family health history and body type (stupid hourglass figure) medical gender affirming care is not in the cards for me. And that is why it is SO important to preserve, even if it doesn't apply to you, because...

...an inability to access gender affirming care can be catastrophic. After a *lot* of work, I'm friends with my body now, but many will never make it there because they won't have an opportunity to get older. Gender affirming care saves lives, and any other position is indefensible and amoral.

I'm confused, and maybe that's the intent, but Nikki was physically female but wants to be less so? Or is trying to be male? Wouldn't the drug cocktail be a performance enhancement? Nothing against Nikki, I'm just trying to understand. I apologize in advance for being old and uninformed.
