With respect, the term is "drug poisoning." The term "overdose" implies someone took too large a dose, and doesn't account for anything which may have been contaminated. Further, it is a shame-based term which isn't helpful to people in active addiction...

...With that said, I'm glad they're okay, and I hope they get the help that they need. Addiction is a very nasty beast indeed, but sobriety is possible 💜
