Yeah, there was a whole army of misogynists who were furious that the game killed off the male lead, and you had to play the rest of the game as Ellie and Abby. Those people are now attackimg the show because their fragile male egos have not healed in the 5 years since the game's release.

Every reasonable human being who played both games understood that Joel was a profoundly bad person and that fact was going to catch up with him. From a storytelling perspective, it made complete sense that Joel was killed. It was not a controversial decision from the writers.

Reading is a good idea, especially if you want to know what a movie or series is about. That's why they follow scripts in movies, that's what happens in the book.

They are quite practical in their assessment. I love that show. I’d play the game if I had a console and time and knew I wouldn’t be sucked into a haze for weeks and weeks and possibly losing my car or job. 🍄

Kind of reminds me of my not playing Star Trek Online, the deviation from canon is so infuriating that I just don't play it and stick to the TV shows and films...

The only thing that makes my brain hurt worse than trying to understand Star Trek canon is trying to figure out the master timeline of Hyrule and what Legend of Zelda lore fits where.

I got into Zelda as an adult. My big flex is that I play at a competitive level as a middle-aged mom, and my university-aged son doesn't. He can outplay me in pretty much anything else, and it chaps his ass he can't beat me at either Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom 😂

I didn't think zelda was a competitive game, but then, i tend to play sim or sandbox games where it's just playing for the sake of being bitten by the time-vampire... 😂

It's a competitive game insofar as timing, routes, figuring out puzzles, combat, etc. I don't compete, waste of time, but knowing that I can take out every lynel in the game without being hit is my own private little flex when there are streamers who can't do it.

I'm terrible at puzzle-solving, there have been times in the past where I've played games where I'd be stuck on the same thing for far too long, makes Euro Truck Sim 2 all the more relaxing, just sit back, tunes on, and pretend to drive places around europe... 😂

When you can take on a Lynel, just cuz you WANT their weapon 😂

The Last of Us isn't a show that I'm particularly interested in, so instead of watching things that don't interest me with the sole purpose of being angry and shouting at the internet for reasons, I channel my energy into things that bring me joy. Thought this was a common thing to do, but, 2025 🤷🏻‍♀️

Spent a ton of time playing through the games and loved them. The first season was pretty decent. While I’d like to see the second season, I’m not paying for a plan that still has ads. Plus, I feel like I’m not missing out on much since I’ve already played the games. 🤷🏻‍♂️
