I got my Covid shot this morning because yesterday MA Gov. Healey ordered pharmacies to make them available to everyone over 5, and ordered health insurance companies to cover the cost. How's that for responsive government!

Govern and governance are two different things. Governance involves choosing the set of rules that get applied. Govern has to do with implementing those rules. The governance axis goes from no rules to rules for everything. Govern goes everyone gets an equal say to tyranny.

Theoretically, it is feasible to have a pure democracy implement a totalitarian governance. Also, a tyrant can implement anarchy. Republicans tend to want no rule that limit them, while they want rule to limit others. That is anti-governance. They don't believe in rules for themselves.

They preach “states’ right” only when it applies to red states. And then they invade blue states and start yanking our citizens off the street and sending them to gulags.

May be the beginning of splitting the US up into separate regions where the authoritarian feds have less power.

Unfortunately, contagious diseases don't recognize state boundaries. Like pollution, diseases go wherever the wind, and human sneezes, go.

We stopped by Congressman Gus Bilirakis’ office to inquire what can be done about continuing the vaccines & immunizations in Florida, the staff member was quick to say “That’s Gov DeSantis, not this office.” We were given other contact info, but Bilirakis is hands-off on this concern?!?!?

I think we have. We ended slavery at the cost of many lives, gave women the vote, put a man on the moon, fought Hitler, held off the Soviet Union till it collapsed, etc. Sure we did bad stuff too, but after 9-11 there is a reason we had such a huge surge of support around the world.

Yes, Coalitions...Now these same states (and more) need to sanction the corporations that are feeding Trumpers millions of dollars...by withhold permission to operate in states where their corporate charters are vulnerable. Use all the levers of power residing in state constitutions and laws.

Interestingly all 8 are within the original 13 colonies. (While neither Vermont nor Maine were among the original 13, their territories were part of NY and Mass at the time.) Maybe this is what SCOTUS means by driving an "originalist" agenda: ditching any state that wasn't part of the original 13.

Although my state has been good at electing Democratic governors for the past several terms, our state house is still ruled by Republicans (thanks, gerrymandering). I bet we can likely count on the Old North State being vaccine-mandate-less. Notwithstanding retiring Senator Tillis, unfortunately.

Hopefully the blue states will require certain vax status to come from red states.
