I met Redford at the Denver international film festival, where one of his films was being premiered. His festival, Sundance film festival is moving to Boulder, and I'm glad he got to see that decision made.
Not sure I fully support moving it from Park City but, it’s an awesome opportunity for Boulder. Back in 2005-10 I paid nearly 1K per night for a two bedroom condo in Park City, WELL AWAY from the ski slopes during the Sundance Festival The festival draws tens of thousands of monied people. There wasn't a role he didn't excel at, including as a good human being. In my youth, I visited his property in Utah and walked the area where Jeremiah johnson was shot. It was magical and I treasure the memory of time spent there as both peaceful and inspirational. His legacy will live forever.

Seeing him at Sundance Ski Resort when I was a scrawny kid learning to ski was magical. He never acted like a movie star and was totally approachable back then (mid to late 70's) RIP Mr. Redford
