beautiful :-)
beautiful :-)
Yes!! This is a great observation :) also, the fact of observing to closely certain things reveal new things about *ourselves* at times, valuable inner teachings (and outer!) It's just Good for the Soul (tm)
It's far better than the unpleasant form of insta-failure that is A.I. "art".
And through the interpretation you develop your style while emphasizing the parts of that beauty you were focused on.
This means a lot to me.
Oh dear 😕 This is exactly how I feel about writing!
Peter Falk in Wings of Desire is a good example of making art for the sake of observing beauty regardless of the final product.
No, this is me. Exactly.

This is a gorgeous way of looking at it. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I've avoided painting things I've found pretty because I didn't want to confront how little I'm able to do that beauty justice with my mortal art skills. It might be helpful to think of the purpose of art not as capturing, but seeing beauty more. This helps.
You brilliantly replaced a negative thought with a positive attitude. Well done.
What I tell my self after creating a photograph or making procgen art: “Yeah, not the best in the world, but you know what… it is mine. And not only that, it is also unique in this universe. And that is pretty neat.”
This is quite wonderful.
This is so sweet and meaningful though!
Failure at the one but a rousing success at the other
That’s a big part of why I enjoy photography. I don’t care much about the photos in the end, but I love finding different ways to look at things.
I routinely find things in my pictures that I didn't spot while I was shooting. Paying attention to stuff is pretty great!
Don't worry about capturing the beauty! Realism doesn't need to be the end goal of creative endeavours and one's inability to do that shouldn't be a failure. Art should be about self-expression. :D
This i agree with more. Art itself doesnt even have to be beautiful to make it art. Art is what makes us human.
Do you need realism to capture the beauty anyway? I would think not
I get it, it's like drawing ensō
Not embarrassing at all. This is the stuff everyone needs to do more of.
Beautiful. 🩷
The point about observing the world is huge. The attack on your own worth isn’t cute.
this is literally how you get better at art, it's the process. You alternate levelling up observational skills, then rendering skills.
ngl, I don't think I could ever see it that way, but good for you, lol.
my costant mood about my art🫂

You absolutely nailed it. This is the mood.
You put it perfectly in words!!!
This is a really lovely way to look at it. I was wondering if you would mind providing alt text?
Well said!
While redacting an essay, I came to the conclusion that "Some things are both impossible to achieve, and essential to try." I think capturing the beauty of the world through art is one of them.
Sharing this, if that’s okay with you. It reminds me of Flaubert’s riff on language in Madame Bovary, but you reframe the “failure” better than he does: “Human speech is like a cracked kettle on which we tap crude rhythms for bears to dance to, while we long to make music that will melt the stars.”
Sunfluffs. It has captured lots of beauty. Always more to strive for but its impressive & lovely to think about.
Wasn’t this what John Ruskin said about drawing - that its purpose is not to teach people to draw, but to teach them to look.
😍
I love this deep down in my bones
