a small pipe behind the kitchen sink with a very tiny crack in it. what sucks is if the pipe had completely broken they might have found the source sooner

That’s where the leak appears to be coming from—right near the kitchen sink, which is right above the basement bathroom. The plumber says he checked all those pipes, though, so I dunno.
