I haven’t scrolled through all the comments, so not sure if this has been addressed. Having experience, I can comment that this likely has to do with comprehensive bloodwork. When a patient is squeamish about a normal blood draw, often times they will do a hand draw that is perceived more “gentle”.

They're sure doing frequent draws, if that's the case. And blowing the vein every time, because it seems like that bruise is chronic

Yes. 100. This would point to a daily monitoring similar to what you’d see with, say an Oncology pt (no implication, just observation). And would it really surprise us if he has sub par staffing in that dept just like everywhere else? RFK himself is probably doing the draws with a toothpick…

😂😂😂😂 we can only hope 😂😂😂 with veins like that I was surprised to see he had been stuck in his hand. It’s usually crappy phlebs who go for those big obvious ones that usually roll and leak afterwards or the needle pops out cause the pressure 🙂 I hope it hurts like hell every single time
