One of my ancestors arrived from UK in 1629, an educated second son ineligible to inherit. Continuing to tell me that my fellow citizens are batshit crazy v. much ignores the trauma visited on them by the generation that fought WWII (against fascism) & the ongoing damage of institutional racism.
