Why am I not surprised to find Salman Khan of Khan Academy fully embracing generative AI? This is probably old news but I ignored the place for years. Bill Gates is a long-time major donor, and Khan Academy currently has a partnership with Microsoft. Gee.
Khan Academy had a wonderful idea with putting educational videos out for the masses to learn to create a middle ground between institutional and autodidactic learning. One problem is that—in my judgment—he has no knack for teaching. Perhaps, to him, that makes AI seem competent for the task.
