TOSS3, “The Enterprise Incident”: Look, was the plan in this episode a particularly good one? No. Was the episode a particularly good one? After the last two, absolutely yes. Almost enough to make watching all of Star Trek in order seem like a good idea again.

Kirk and Spock basically play an elaborate, extremely fragile, and horrifically risky prank on the Romulan Star Empire: violate Romulan space, get captured, seduce the Romulan commander (Spock is the honeypot for a change), steal their cloak, and escape. Terrible plan. Fun to watch, though.

Spock actually catches some feelings for the Romulan commander, and if one wanted to (and I do want to) one could view this as a precursor to “Unification” – Spock's first realization that the Vulcans and Romulans might be capable of rapprochement.
