I really don’t hear well out of my left ear and I depend on subtitles big time. Especially because I typically read lips, so if actors are not visible clearly (all movies and sci fi shows lately) I can’t hear!

Same, it allows me to keep the volume at a reasonable level so I don't get blown out of the room during action sequences

Also someone should invent a multichannel volume control option for TVs where you can set dialogue to a certain level and sound effects to a different level

The mixes are always off where Dialogue is lower then the Music/sounds on screen. So annoying.

I can't get into them, feel like I'm missing stuff on the screen 😕

You should check out open captions! Most theaters have them now but also the more people that request them the more they’ll become available

I don’t think movie theaters should die because people can’t hear dialogue. Kind of always on the side of things being accessible and not not accessible. Don’t know why Stephen king thinks everyone can afford all the streaming services.
