Ok rather then just knocking down all of their ideas, offer a solution.
Those reasons include a Constitutional limit on the exercise of Congressional authority.
I'm not knocking down ideas. I am providing factual information. I can't offer a solution to "violate the First Amendment."
Q: "What is the solution to people consuming media I don't approve of?" A: "Totalitarianism." Trump is all-in on that solution. How is it working out for you? Happy so far?
There is a magical way to ban all speech I dislike while protecting speech I like. This way can and will never be abused.
I don't believe in the "do something" fallacy[*]. And neither should you. If someone has bad ideas they damn well shoud be knocked down. Vigorously. With no need or obligation to "offer a solution". ([*] "Something needs to be done!" "This is something." "Do it!")
