Putin, having strung along Trump--easy to punk the narcissist--senses Trump is weak, flapping in the wind, and paralyzed by his own prevaricating spinelessness... What Putin is hoping is that Trump will attempt to save himself by, in effect, creating more distance from NATO/EU allies.
