Don't sound like a republican and generalize about a demographic group you're not a part of. I'm 68 and realized Fox news wasn't news decades ago. It's just opinionated bullshit meant to sway 11-year-olds in adult bodies of which regrettably, we have an overabundance.

Well, I’m 61 and was quoting Rand Paul’s recent comment that Fox News was”A propaganda channel to scare old people”. 😅 And TBF, there are just as many old people glued to CNN 24/7 in lieu of actual social interaction, and don’t realize they broadcast the same news in 1-hour cycles.

I wish the Fox network, OAN, Newsmax etc. were banned, especially from US military bases.

I think media companies that argue they have the right to LIE shouldn't be allowed to make believe they're reporting the "news". Yelling fire in a crowded movie theatre when there's no fire isn't protected speech.

They do have the right to lie. The 1st Amendment protects most lies. There are exceptions but "feeding bullshit to the idiots" is not one of them. The exceptions are defamation, true threats, incitement to imminent unlawful action, perjury, obscenity, child pornography, fighting words,

and speech integral to criminal conduct. As for the fire-theater thing, that was never the law. It was dicta in a Supreme Court case that was overturned in 1969. The standard is "incitement to imminent unlawful action."

Remember when Coke and Pepsi hired Michael Jackson and Madonna, so their ads would be shown to MTV’s cult audience? We’re now awash in patriotic small-market products advertising “I’m a veteran, and with prices out of control, it’s time for our people to make a stand!”, hoping for Fox rotation.
