No, "New Labour" were center right, but not far right. Starmer's Tory 5th column changed that in 2019. 🤷
I feel like they've been drifting right ever since, true the Tory drift has accelerated. You are probably right, I never closely followed the membership details of who is who.
They didn't so much "drift right", Corbyn was trying to drag them back to their roots, when they took a large "Goosestep" right in 2019.
