The inability of the Trumpican Congress to pass a Debt Limit resolution isn’t just a failure. This is a planned collapse to give Musk and Trump one more excuse to “save“ the country by assuming all power of a dictator. At that point, Musk will not need Trump anymore. Wait and see.

Republicans have a trifecta of leadership if having a majority of the votes doesn’t allow them to pass a budget this seems like a MAGA Republican problem. The Democrats, who don’t believe in the things MAGA believes in shouldn’t have the media tell them to bail them out.

Bade’s point is worth heeding. This is a unique time in our politics. Those concerned about Trump must be patient and, for the moment, limit direct attacks. Dems put themselves in the unenviable position of needing to bide time, leverage the indirect, and allow Trump space to stumble on his own.

I've been thinking about this a lot. FFS, Trump and Musk are ACTIVELY SHUTTING DOWN THE GOVERNMENT RIGHT NOW. That's the whole point and the whole problem. We'd be making it easier for them to accomplish their goals while pissing off voters who need the services that remain for now.

It is moot. Gop already said they will use Reconciliation to get a budget passed with simple majority. This helps Dems because you can't do the wide agency eliminations djt wants with Reconciliation. Makes court fights easier. The agencies have appropriation from Congress.
