I wondered these days if international law still has legitimacy, given that numerous actors have repeatedly violated the rules in recent years. I assume the US’s answer to my question is NO, since the president finds it acceptable to threaten the annexation of territories against their sovereignty.

I hope NATO nations are paying attention and build up their forces as soon as possible, because it doesn’t seem like the U.S. president is all that concerned with our allies, pacts, obligations, or promises, and any one of those countries may very well become a target of this administration.
