The U.S. economy added 147,000 jobs, defying expectations of a slowdown.
The U.S. economy added 147,000 jobs, defying expectations of a slowdown.
The administration that said we shouldn't trust the information coming from the government wants us to trust THEM 😂
🤪🤪😂😂🤡🤪🤪😂😂🤡
If you can believe Trumps labor dept
73,000 were local government jobs that can’t be sustained. July’s numbers will prove this.
How many of those jobs are persons released from federal jobs?
Nope it was announced this week, the economy lost 33,000 jobs no gains at all. Fox announced this 2 days ago. On Bartonomos(?) show. Where are your numbers from?
Nobody would be surprised if the administration doesn’t manipulate all the numbers on everything.
Can we trust these numbers? Just wondering.
Trump is Winning!!
Very sorry that Politico did not do more homework on this.
I'm tired of the misrepresentations. ADP shows the private sector LOST 33,000 jobs in June (originally expected gain of 100k). The BLS (includes both gov & private) says we gained 147k. Note, many economist no longer trust Gov (BLS) data/analysis.
A key question that you should be asking is why isn't Politico providing this information?
Me, too.
at ICE? WTF?
That’s not many. Biden added an average of 346,000 jobs per month
Nope
So these are government numbers even though ADP said it was down over 30,000. Maybe I don’t could be maybe they lied like this administration does with everything else? www.cnbc.com/amp/2025/07/... or am I missing something?
-30,000 jobs if you exclude Government jobs!
Lies.
How many of these jobs are at ICE? The gestapo sector is clearly booming.
I don't understand.... www.cnbc.com/2025/07/02/a...
Fox announced this first. The faces of those trump cucks were priceless when it was announced
I was thinking the same thing 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ I’m not even going to pretend to understand anything right now. And what about the 100s of thousands of government jobs that were cut by DOGE? When do we see those metrics? After their severance packages end? Maybe most got their job back? I’m so confused 😵💫
My thought exactly. How can 33,000 jobs be lost in June but yet gain 147,000 jobs? Is Politicio now selling out to Trump too?!
Yes.
ADP is a private sector measure. I’d trust that more, right now. The administration has reason to jule the stats.
*juke the stats.
A large part of the increase was driven by state and local government hiring, not the private sector.
There was no state + local govt hiring. Who you kidding. Most all are laying people off.
Not what I’m hearing from federal employees in California. Many got their jobs back after months of paid leave. Utter cluster fuck as usual.
And mostly in education as schools start preparing for the new school year.
Hiring back the people they fired because they’re morons?
They did hire people back that they fired because they couldn't run those needed agencies with the people who were kept.
You can’t believe anything from the Trump admin
Lots of job openings in the construction and hospitality fields because our govt is kidnapping them. Lots of “new jobs” at the state level, which aren’t really new jobs, they are picking up duties our fed govt should be doing, but can’t anymore because of DOGE cuts.
Not happening.
I cannot believe the felon got journalist to rewrite his jobs report. It's just like Bernie told us
Wow fire everybody then hire them back, that will keep that jobs report up!
Federal hiring was -7000 in the BLS report so I don’t think that happened
You sound like my husband.
Okay?
Lol
LOL
Is Politico Fox "news" now? 33k private sector jobs were fucking lost!!! You're reporting numbers from trump's "Labor department??"
Mostly state and local governments. Private sector LOST JOBS, and travel/tourism jobs are down
This is obviously bullshit
Are they all french fry server jobs? Else why this photo?
ADP reports that 33k jobs were lost. As per Jasmine, the math ain't mathin
I heard the exact opposite
Source: the fascists who stand to benefit if people believe that claim
@politico.com So how is that alternative reality working out? Politico not a reliable source of information, just another useless propaganda outlet. Slow clap...
I heard it was a billion.
Sounds like bullshit.
This pinned to their profile should tell us what we need to know about politico.
MINUS ... US private sector lost 33,000 jobs in June, missing expectations for an increase of 115,000 | CNN Business www.cnn.com/2025/07/02/e....
When fire federal employees outright and the courts tell you to bring em back?
I call bullshit.
Yep, this is not accurate.
@timmiller.bsky.social Tim Miller @thebulwark.com and MSNBC jobs numbers for June are down so why is Politico stating otherwise? These numbers hopefully aren’t coming from Taco47 administration as their instinct is to lie, by habit they deceive & their guilty consciences says “blame them”.
Politico , stop shilling for these toxic assholes !!!

How is that, when the reports yesterday say 33,000 jobs added not 147,000. What's the truth
Hi, worse than that, I'm sorry to say: 33,000 lost.
Yeah, even fox reported it.
Yesterday's report was on private sector jobs only. Today's report included all government jobs (state govs) and public sector jobs that were filled, and also ignored 1.5 million who quit looking for work. The private sector is tanking badly. That's the news.
Allegedly
Many are saying that the Govt is cooking the books to get the Fed to drop rates…probably.
From here on in: WE CANNOT BELIEVE ANY NUMBERS PROVIDED BY THE WH AND THEIR LACKEY MEDIA 🤬🤬🤬
