I just paid $3.89/gallon in So Cal. Not great but nowhere near the prices on that pic.

I paid $3.95 a gallon in the Bay Area yesterday.

That looks like a gas station not part of a major provider that is apparently gouging the public probably due to its location. Not the average price of gas in California. Average price running around $4.52.

Politico has gone off the rails. This is a Newsome hit piece if I ever saw one. Gas (Reg.), right now in Roseville, CA is on average $3.99 - $4.09/gal. In the Bay Area, San Jose is around $4.56 per gallon (about usual for summer blend). Overall, CA is ~$4.53. This article is nonsense.
