I agree there’s a growing grassroots’ effort in our DC neighborhoods (#FREEDC). Big reason missing from article: nuance of federal employees (what’s left) dealing w low morale and then protesting employer (at the risk of retribution). We’re not giving in - just quieter. They seem to be protesting. They were successful at getting ICE to leave from one spot and who knows how many people in cars have been saved from check points. What ever Politico writes, I'm sure it doesn't mean that DC like being occupied.
