Our troops with conscience need to evaluate if this matches their view of their purpose and what they originally signed up for. If not....make a change.

They disagree with this action but can't just quit. Many have committed to the military for several years. My family member has less that 4 years until retirement. As an officer, that's a really big retirement payout.

I understand your family members' position. I understand people have committed themselves to the military. I also understand that they all took an oath to uphold the Constitution. The defense of "I was just trying to get my pension, so I went along it" doesn't fly when they are prioritizing

a pension over the death of this country. I absolutely understand their position. But anyone in the military who is complacent or follows orders knowing they are overstepping the bounds of what our Constitution stands for should be accountable and have their pension stripped away. They took an oath.

With this current government, if he leaves, he may be hunted down and shot. Right now, he's glad he has not been forced to leave. Trump is trying hard to reduce the officer ranks. He wants all young troops who won't defy him.

These are very serious times in our country. Everyone one of us has decisions to make. However, people in the military have a duty to uphold their oath & defend this country. Hoping to hunker down & not be noticed so you can receive a pension from a job you aren't doing is an indefensible position.

This is a tragedy waiting to happen.
