I totally agree with your opinion of Joe S. But the mayor was a big disappointment. The answer to Joe's question was easy: Police yes,. soldiers no. Police are a civil force working for local citizens.Soldiers are occupiers working for the president. But the mayor never gave this simple answer.
I thought the Chicago mayor was lackluster at best in this interview but with Joe, it’s not about a specific question, it’s his overall attitude and delivery. He tries to one up his guests and the job of a journalist is to draw out the subject and get them talking. He loves hearing himself talk.
Yeah, the question is whether you can deal with it. Mayor Johnson can't, at least not yet. Dems like him need to learn that you answer crisply, to the point, and on principle, not a lot of hazy irrelevant policy points.
I’m a horrible public speaker myself so I really empathize with those who struggle. I wish I could be as eloquent a speaker as JB Pritzker.
