hey TTRPG designers! how did you choose your publishing name?
hey TTRPG designers! how did you choose your publishing name?
I made it up based on my user name (but basically never use it π) BasiliskOnline or Dyer is far more recognizanable than Stone Gallery Games π
As for "BasiliskOnline" originally my email and (now defunct) livejournal using this name were a prop for a Mage The Awajeming character whos shadow name was "Basilisk" eventually i just started using it and made it my brand by default π
what I've learned from several people is I should've had the foresight to choose a good and unique online handle 10-20 years ago π alas...
My perfoming last name and the fact that I am spread far too thin between work and hobbies as a pun. Bairdly Trying / Barely Trying.
Mine was just named after my blog
but how did you name the blog π§
In the early days it was for Tunnels & Trolls so I just made it Trollish Delver to fit the theme
In the end, I just named it after me. It's gone through some changes, all of which were references in some way or another: Impslayer Games after my first D&D character, which I've retained as my unofficial moniker; Them Demon Books, a cheeky quip during a CoC game; Now, just Craig Hatler Games.
I named my company Certain Death because I assumed my first product would fail and all the money I put in would be lost.
Easy! I'm a trained chef, and before founding Big Bite Games, I ran a food blog for six years and owned a spice and sauce brand. It was the logical choice for me! :D
ChooseYouRroll was just a neat name for an ap so I applied it across the board
Extra R oops
We were supposed to do that?
