Yeah, aging is a super big privilege. You get to become weaker, more tired, eyesight goes, hearing goes, balance is off, you may fall prey to a debilitating illness like cancer or MS or congestive heart failure or maybe kidney disease. It’s a super big privilege to get old and die. Lot to envy here.

I didn't say aging was a privilege. I said retiring was. Thanks for typing all that, knowing nothing about my health, and then blocking me. I understand a lot about your relationship with your children as a result. I hope you can work on yourself before it's too late.

yeah, just to be clear, it IS a privilege to age. most people don't get to, especially not in the queer communities Democrats are so excited to throw under the bus.

I understand what you’re saying. I was 19 when AIDS hit & killed a dear friend. I get it. Two of my (older) sisters are in the queer community. They’re in their 70s and going strong, thank goodness. Living in a blue state helps (despite what you may believe). I hope you live a long & healthy life. 🙏

You still don't understand. It's not just about living long. For people born with disabilities or dealing with other conditions we don't have the privilege of accessible healthcare, secure and gainful employment, affordable housing, retirement etc that boomers did and get to live comfortably.

Long and healthy, both. Maybe I don’t understand completely but I do understand a bit. My husband is disabled due to the late affects of polio. He’s a wheelchair user for 24 years now. Life can be very difficult. We all struggle. Compassion is the balm.
