I just shake my head when I hear these analysts saying they did not think the tariffs would happen. Trump said he was going to do this, and he put on tariffs in his first term. How could they not think this would happen?

One of the few genuine ‘props’ I have to give Trump is that he has a pretty solid track record of doing the things he says he’s going to do. Most of the time they’re terrible and harmful, and surrounded by lies, but when he decides he wants to do a key thing, he tends to go for it as advertised.

Totally agree He has made it totally clear , time and again. That he is a nationalist, a protectionist and not afraid to use military might to achieve his goals. He has never swayed on any of these things , he is like a starving dog with a bone
