Strom Thurmond and the Dixiecrats left with the racists to the Republican party after his filibuster and then Then LBJs Southern Strategy was deployed and is still working today. Class Solidarity and worker solidarity is always eliminated quickly. We will all be wage slaves.

Thurman is a great example of a Southern Democrat turning into a Reagan Republican to stay conservative ... LBJ didn't do the Southern Strategy, Nixon did ...

"Many scholars have stated that southern whites shifted to the Republican Party after a civil rights culture change and due to social conservatism.[6][7][8]" (From Wikipedia "Southern Democrats")
