Many ended up having to use them to do work from home. So that's a very legal use which a lot of people are gonna make a fuss over if there is a crackdown

Hope you're right, but these days the law doesn't seem like it has a reasonable legal basis

It won’t be an outright ban, it will be forcing vpn clients in the iOS/android AppStores to add age verification Then after that fails, we will all be talking about account sharing Or some mail reader will freak out some kid waved an age check app at them on the train to steal their mugshot
