The article I posted shows nonBlack ppl didn’t and that the police dismissed every Black person begging for help. One Black woman lying doesn’t discredit the millions of cases in U.S. history that really happened. I take the same stance with any crime btw.
People are always going to defer to their biases so someone lying about a crime doesn’t affect much outside the lied about victims. Rape accusations are still seen as automatically false even with evidence in society. Racism is caught on video & tape and still defended.
What’s important is to hold liars, perpetrators accountable and protect victims. Someone lying about a crime should not bias you to never believe that crime can be perpetrated.
