Republicans did that. He would never have survived his first term had they not chosen to serve themselves and their donors.

these "lawmakers" are all millionaires, multi-millionaires working on billionaire. it is always about the money. got to protect where the money is coming from. they go on to lucrative jobs with their donors if they leave office. it's a vicious circle.
