Exactly. By setting the bar so low/engaging in such brutality, even mid guys get a pass for not even doing the bare minimum. And they like it that way.

Not only do they get a pass; they expect you to celebrate them for doing the bare minimum. Or applaud them when they acknowledge women deserve equal rights because, shocking, they just realized that “as a father, as a son, as a husband,” they DO know a woman!
